Facebook's recent security settings revamp has raised concerns about user privacy, and one of the most pressing issues is the ability to share items with restrictions. Unfortunately, there is no option available in the latest iteration of Facebook's privacy settings that allows users to post items with a restriction saying 'This is for you to see, not to share.' One possible solution could be to require explicit permission before sharing any item designated as private. This would align better with Facebook's nature and provide users with more control over their data. In a recent plea for 'human decency,' Randi Zuckerberg, the sister of Facebook's founder Mark Zuckerberg, shared her frustration after one of her private photos was made public on Twitter.

On the other hand, Facebook has also shown its growing pains in terms of integration with iOS 6. A recent post by Jason Cipriani highlighted some changes to Facebook's privacy options. For instance, when you press the Photo button in the Facebook app, you will be prompted to re-enable photo and video sharing by changing the iPhone's privacy setting back to On.

If you want to disable Facebook photo and video sharing on your iPhone or iPad, you can do so by following these steps: open Settings, choose Privacy > Photos, and toggle the Facebook setting to Off. Alternatively, you can also do this from the Timeline by pressing Photos > Sync, then the gear icon in the top-right corner, and finally Turn off Photo Sync (this step may not be necessary) > Don't sync my photos > Done.

For Android users, the process is slightly different. To disable Facebook photo syncing on your Android device, follow these steps: press the main menu in the top-left corner, choose Account > App Settings > Sync Photos > Don't sync my photos.
